Yes you have to chop at the bigger bits of ash with the head of the hose otherwise they will clog the working end

Good overall quality the hose could do with being abit longer as found myself lifting the unit around a lot to reach

At first it did not work but after checking the machine over i found out that the filter connected to the machine needs to be fully pushed in place and then works fine

I sent a couple of photos to customer support and a new one arrived two days later without me having to return the first one in a hurry
