My old fan circulated hot air in the room; this one has cool air. On the lowest speed, it's whisper quiet but also provides some slight air movement to keep the air from feeling stale.

Cons

The fan is too short. The charger is ugly, it's a black laptop charger with a brick that just hangs there. I suspect the shoddy lifespan / quality issues is due to their poor choice to house the ac/dc converter within the base, instead of externally.

I very much like the quietness of them and the velocity control from a very low to a high volume and anywhere in between.

Small enough to pack and it moves so much air, it helps us get a good night's sleep

I found this fan and it seemed to check all the boxes so i ordered one.

Competitiveness

I put up with this occasional aggravation because the vornado works better than any fan i’ve ever owned.

Unlike most fans, the power/speed control is on the front, much easier to deal with than the more typical rear mounted control.

I got both this one and the 5303dc to compare.

If vornado made a larger version of this fan, with the same interface, i would be all over it.
