Pros

Vornado 533dc energy smart small air circulator fan moves a lot of air. It is a bit noisy, but that is acceptable. It hums quietly at these lower speeds.

The fan has a rheostat dial to decrease the air flow, or max it out. You can have it silently running, every so subtly pushing out a breeze. It also circulates the air like nobody's biz.

I absolutely, 100% recommend this fan over literally every other fan i've tried. Works well on a shelf.

This is far superior and i think it's worth the extra cost. Owned these fans for years. My other vornados have lasted me forever.

This smaller fan sits on my nightstand and offers a soft breeze that is on a dial for perfect adjustment. Vortices are airflows that spin like a tornado.

Small enough to pack and it moves so much air, it helps us get a good night's sleep

I found this fan and it seemed to check all the boxes so i ordered one.

Competitiveness

I put up with this occasional aggravation because the vornado works better than any fan i’ve ever owned.

Unlike most fans, the power/speed control is on the front, much easier to deal with than the more typical rear mounted control.

I got both this one and the 5303dc to compare.

If vornado made a larger version of this fan, with the same interface, i would be all over it.
