It's the only way we've survived this heatwave. If you place it in the doorway, it moves air from the ac'ed living room into the un-air conditioned bedroom quite well. Never been disappointed in a vornado product.

I couldnt find the same fan on a taller pedestal and i debated if i should get the model that oscillates or the model that is not on a stand at all tabletop version for a bedside table etc

First of all all of the reviews for the oscillating models said it was very noisy
