Pros & Cons
Pros
The fan comes with a claw clamp that allows you to attach the fan to a work table leg or a shelf up high. It clips on or has a stand and is very sturdy and the rating for dust and moisture are better than any other fan.
The tiny vornado has more than enough power, as in surprisingly large amount of power for how deceptively small it is. That leaves it with a pretty large footprint and not very high off the ground. It will be great for summer to help circulate air.
It makes a sizable difference on heating costs to have something to push that air around. We use it in our basement which has only baseboard heating to circulate the are and make sure all the heated air doesn't just gather at the ceiling.
Speed adjustment is by a little lever that is easy to use. Highest speed is turbo and could be an air handler. It's a bit noisy, but not bad for the amount of air it blows.
Fan is on a tripod with a swiveling ball-and-socket joint to allow it to to be directed in all directions. This clamp has the same style socket as the tripod into which the ball of the fan base can insert.
Cons
The stand and claw mount are horrible for this fan. Everything in the mounting hardware is plastic which cause the screw used to tighten the claw mount to break during the first use. I was hoping to get a solid fan that i could clip to my son's dorm b... Read More
The fan puts out more noise than air flow. The blades cavitate because the designers were so worried about making a strong resilient construction industry fan, they closed off the back too much. It also mysteriously tends to slow down as well.
Air circulators are not fans. Absolutely not. But the toughness. Not even close. It turns out, that is not the case.
Highlights
Quality
It feels very sturdy and well made, and it can take a good amount of punishment i would say, accidental or otherwise.
This fan is super durable with the construction themed exoskeleton/shell it can withstand a pretty good drop.
Found the clamp really only works if the fan is directly above it.

However, this fan is very loud (on low) which doesn't bother us since it is in a room we are only in for short periods of time,... Read More
