Pros

It’s very versatile. Toddler friendly- (front grill has small openings that resist curious fingers)*great 5 year satisfaction guarantee.

The cord storage also helps when keeping it nice and neat when transporting it. It is very portable, something that one could bring to a small office or porch and bring home.

It's easy to overlook that the fan is intended to expand, both in front and back. There are two silicone-y membranes that pull open and smush to flatten. More silicone is found on the expandable sides.

The instructions are clear and detailed---something very lacking in many products lately! It's kind of a downer, but i still really like this fan. For further information, the latest version of the owner’s manual can be found at vornado dot c.

However, it is overpriced and underpowered. I have a $20 honeywell fan that moves more air than this.

You can wedge a rolled up sock or something underneath but as expensive as it is, it's not worth it. Secondly, it is quite heavy and bulky for its intended purpose. A bit too large to travel with conveniently.

Vornado is a great company but the engineers pooped the bed on this one. What a disappointment. It's frustrating because a few tweaks could make this an awesome product.

The box is 11" by 9" by 6", so this is basically the size the product folds into.

But all in all it does make packing it much easier than your typical fan.

If you very specifically need a fan which can be collapsible to save storage or packing space, sure, it's ok.

Competitiveness

I give it a 4 instead of 5 because vornado has lost quality after it moved from the us to china manufacture.

We had another vornado that took up a lot of space in the luggage.

Will buy another for a gift, alittle pricey but vornado is the best.
