Pros
The vornado is a quiet fan with integrated heater. It gently distributes the heat evenly without strong waves of hot air. This heater is tiny but heats up our living room really quickly in the winter.
The build quality and controls are deluxe. Solidly made.

This thing is amazing. It does a great job. Trying it now in the bedroom. Yes, that good. Definitely serves it's purpose.
I wish i got this sooner, my old heater damaged the hardwood oak floor. They are 3x the price of a typical heater.
Cons
Fan not powerful enough to heat entire room. It starts then almost immediately shuts itself down. Some sort of cycling issue and every setting produces the cycling issue. It works well for three months only.

We bought one that is described as a whole room heater, and it comfortably made our entire 800sq foot basement warm and comfortable.
It blows air gently with its whisper, while delivering the warmth over every inch and every single corner.
It turns off immediately when tipped and is small and light to move.
Price
Shut off 3000 watts of electric baseboard heaters, this keeps my 312 sf office warm for far less cost.
A little expensive but it is very quiet and warms the room at an ok rate.
They are 3x the price of a typical heater which is a lot of $$ for me.
Competitiveness
I think in this instance it is worth spending more to get a superior product from an american company.
It won't heat your room anymore than a cheaper unit, but in every other way it's probably better.
Heater is relatively quiet compared to other heaters.
