Pros

Unless either of those are dealbreakers, at their current price they are a tremendous bargain. No cheapo heater offers that kind of satisfaction guarantee and a 5 year factory warranted item. It makes it a very functional appliance.

The remote control is a real convenience. The ir sensor lives behind the red light that is on the top-front of the heater's control panel. It emits a bright, large swathe of light.

Has thermostat so it can cycle the heater on & off to maintain the room temp. Thermostat is a game changer.

This vortex heater is a far safer unit than a $20-30 unit, lol! The vortex heater, for it's size, 10 wide x 12 tall x 9 deep. My room is 16x14ft.

The best attribute of this heater is that it truly is whisper quiet. I mean ultra quiet.

Cons

no matter what temperature i set the unit to, after the room reaches that temperature, the heater resets itself to 65 degrees. There seems to be just one loop of wire heating element that just does not seem adequate to heat any size room.

I tried the more expensive version when i found i needed one for a different room and was very disappointed.

The vornado tvh 600 has a back lit remote, but costs $209.

Shipping

If you don't like it, for any reason, vortex will take back and refund all your money at the store or by shipping!

Packaging/appearance

I just wish the remote had backlight on the buttons.

It is very well built and super sturdy, almost industrial level( compared to the other models).
