Pros

Vornado is such an excellent brand in my opinion, and this heater is no exception. It is just shy of perfect! Although a little pricey, i believe it’s still a good value. You want to know it is rugged and well made.

I plugged the heater into the outlet and touched the power button. When i walk away and come back, the whole area is significantly warmer. I have my workshop in the garage which is uncomfortable in the winter.

I have a walk-in closet that doesn’t have a vent that i converted into a small home office. It heats up the entire garage-- amazing! Still cheaper than heating the entire house just for the one room.

Cons

Just like the title says disappointed, although i'll start with what i like. The price point on this heater is way over similar heaters, and that's without regard to brand. It is so light it feels like it weights nothing at all.

The climate control on this is absolutely *. It doesn't even gauge the temperature in the room correctly. The heater is pretty erratic about shutting off and back on. It is also very noisy and loud.

I wish that the 5r had a bit more to offer over the 3r, but i'm still comfortable giving it five stars.

So i decided to buy a new heater and at first tried other well-know brands.

With vornado, you wont have that worry, and you can count on their customer support to live up to the warranty.
