As described it has two power settings which are moderated by its control dial allowing good control of its heat.
I’ve had intermittent luck with temp-sensing heaters and the remotes sometimes do and do not work.
All of the materials are top notch.
Price
I purchased a returned item at a great price, don't know that i would have paid full retail.
I was unwilling to spend another $300 for something that “kind of” worked and took up so much floor space so i started searching amazon.
I was hesitant to purchase because of the high $$ but i am very, very pleased with the purchase.
Shipping
I just received this a few days ago, but i have been using it the second it arrived.
Packaging/appearance
My only complaint is that the picture on the site and even on the box is a little misleading in terms of color.
All pics in the ads & on the box show that the fan has gold accents around the v logo on the front and on the legs of the fan.
Competitiveness
I’d settled on trying an oscillating tower heater when vornado brand popped up as a suggestion.

You can set the dials to where you want to set the heat output and when it gets there it goes on standby and then will turn back on when it gets below that

My skin doesn’t dry out using this like using the furnace or heater cube does

It does not seem very loud even on the highest setting

Then once it reaches the temp zone it makes zero noise

It has safety features too like automatic shut off if unstable or tipped over

I loved the retrolightgreen in the picture but it arrived in regulargreen not light or dark
