Little tough to use and inconvenient when you want to use the binos off the tripod.

Bought these for my wife's vortex diamondback 8x42 binoculars so she could stick them on a tripod while bird-watching.
Great way to make your binos into a spotting scope.
Even on 42mm tubes it's not really a problem.
Sturdy fit on vortex 10x50 crossfire hd binoculars.

When you want to grass you simply slide the adaptor onto its base

Another thing to think about is that since the base isnt permantly attached to the adaptor its a pain to switch between binos and spotting scope

I lost my qd plate and base because i just put it on the ground when switching between the two and forgot about it when i moved 4 mile hike from camp to glassing location when i realized i lost it not worth the hike

It just works makes swapping out items very quick go from 10x bions to a spotting scope in seconds rather then having to switch them all off and back on
