The only thing i would reconsider would be to go with the 8in with a variac variable transformer controller.

This is a great example of a well built product.

I have the variac controller with the 6in but i stopped using it because i always had it maxed out.

I installed this vtx1000 into my duct that goes to my master bedroom along with the switch, duct pressure by tjernlund .

Yes this 10 inch fan is great hooked it up to a 10 inch phresh filter.

Made of the highest quality and will easily cool 4 to 5 1000w hoods like nothing.
