Pros & Cons
Pros
Creedmoor, and am very satisfied with its performance. Can't beat the vortex lifetime warranty. Well worth the price.
First focal plane is the way to go for long distances. Comes with lens caps connected with elastic, but i replaced with vortex flip caps. I own 3 vortex scopes, and a red dot.
This optic is designed by professional shooters. The clicks are audible but not overly loud. Even using the ffp ebr-2c reticle zooming in and out is super nice.
I would prefer using a range finder to confirm. It also feels much heavier than the gen ii.
The lighted reticle is awesome. There is an included 4” sunshade which is great. Illumination can be dialed in for the exact amount needed.
Cons
Reticle was canted by almost 4 degrees. Will not hold a zero to save it’s life, the turrets get rotated just pulling the rifle from the case.
Highlights
Quality
Solid scope with bright crisp sight picture.
Mounted on my 50 bmg and has held up exceptionally well with no drift even on such a punishing gun.
After initial 5 shots was shooting 3-shot dimes at a 100 yards and 3-shot quarters at 200 yards.
Probably going to add a throw lever, but glass is great and the turrets are spot on the marks.
Competitiveness
Other than that, i can see no real difference in the gen one and my buddy's gen 2, other than costing 2x as much.

I would much rather have a couple of these over the newer generations
