Before i go any further this camera quality is very low compared to camera phones and actual cameras on the market.
And that's something we've found to be typical of all vtech type products.
It won't compete with anything high-end, but actually does reasonably well with low light.

This is a really good tradeoff if you want your kids or grandkids to be able to take their own pics but they arent quite at the point that they can have their own phone just yet
