I ordered this to replace a different monitor which i had to return to amazon because it interfered terribly with our home wifi

It has a sound activation mode so you can have the screen off overnight while you are trying to sleep and it will only kick on when the baby makes noises

Also the monitor will give a warning beep if the battery is about to die so it wont just quit on you in the middle of the night if it runs out of battery

The only feature i had been looking for was a monitor that played music but this one does not

We currently have the camera wall mounted about 6 127 ft off the ground so you can see into the crib however the unit does have a blind spot

Also something that at first bothered me was i could not figure out how to turn the video part of the screen off without shutting the parent unit down

There is nothing in the instructions on if this was even a feature and i hated the light in my face at night when i was trying to sleep

After doing some research i found in a review that if you tap the power button versus holding it down to turn the unit off it turns the screen off without turning the monitor off
