Pros
Best when bought with a wagner rebate. Worked as expected and reasonably priced. Also bought the centric standard rotor.
Bought these for 2000 corolla. Always great, fade-free braking from these on my 98 corolla. Installed on a 2000 chevy prizm, fit as expected.
The reason shims are attached to the back of brake pads is to absorb vibration. No screeching or squealing after installation (make sure to use brake lubricant).
Cons
Wheels seem to run very hot with these 00 corolla. The pads don't fit correctly in the caliper.

They do this as a manner of insurance if you will if the vehicle comes back the customer wont think you installed an inferior product by using something other than factory

I had these installed by a shop since i dont have my own space to do so but as far as any squeaking goes i have not heard any noise coming from these at all not even when i drove off the shop

I was disappointed that they didnt include new retaining clips but the old ones were okay for one more cycle
