Probably got a bad one as i have other model wansview cameras and they are bullet proof.

It gives a clear picture every time you access the camera from anywhere if you have any issues you can message the cameras customer service and they reply back promptly and are great people to help

Basic ip cam doesnt have a card slot doesnt zoom pan or anything like this but once i downloaded the software i can depend on it to record

Not sure about alarm triggers and stuff like that but if you want assurance that its recording you can go back and watch the footage

You can monitor the cam from anywhere in the world that has a good wifi signal
