These books are for readers, if you actually plan to read your comics buy the edition that best helps you accomplish that goal.
Price
Just the essential graphic novel, for the lowest price, without fluff i don’t care about.
If you just want a pretty book to look at on your shelf, by all means spend $100 on the absolute edition.
For such a dense and expansive comic like watchmen, a full printing for only $10 is honestly a steal!
99 for legendary graphic novels that usually cost 2-3x more
Packaging/appearance
Came in awesome condition this was a bday present for my husband and he’s in love with it.
Competitiveness
I think the dc compact comics line is the best value in graphic novels and would love to see the other companies adopt similar initiatives.
