I usually stick with the canson xl watercolor pad but i always had an issue with the paper not having enough texture despite being coldpressed and it only contains 30 sheets

It doesnt work well if you use a wet on wet painting or very wet painting techniques

The rich texture took a bit for my sons pencil to acclimate to but that lends to beautiful creations that dont even need a frame to hang in

The cover binding came unglued quickly but that didnt affect the quality of the paper

I have ordered and used many types of paper and pads former art teacher and found that most of them were not useful for watercolors

If the paper is too thin it will not soak up enough of the water to keep the solution on the paper

Im sure everyone has tried to paint with a prang set of colors in school and found that the paint just runs across the paper
