It does not stick out for me; actually it ended up settling flush with the shower wall.

My wife and teenage kids have commented that if they arent careful in placing the head in the lower position it will fall off and whack them in the head

Of the shower options i only use 12 per usual so 7 is unnecessary for me but might be appealing to you

While it is a wellmade solid easytoinstall shower head with some nice settings the nse753t lacks the same water pressure as the older model original shower massage

Now i havent tried a newer version of the original shower massage and mine was purchased many years ago and it could be that the whole line of waterpik shower heads have been redesigned with lowflow laws and ideals that reduce the water pressure significantly
