I did not try submerging the case so i have no opinion on that but splashes wet hands even an accidental drop in the drink should not pose a problem if your phone is tucked away in this case

I haven’t used this case underwater but the screen is perfectly accessible and the touch screen is the same maybe have to push a little harder through the plastic above water
