This gets recognized as a rp2040 board the backlight comes on and i can copy files to and from it but i havent yet gotten to the point where i can actually display something on the screen

Im too much of a beginner to handle this on my own so i relied heavily on waveshares wiki documentation

I found the wiki page very confusing difficult to follow along for a beginner and a bunch of things are referenced that you dont realize are linked way down at the bottom of the page

If youre using an m1 mac youll run into problems like gdb not being supported on your chip
