The unit was populated with 3 4tb drives and set up as raid 5. Once the disk system builds it is very fast. It gives me 48tb usable after raid 5. The only thing i do not like is the diskless model is 2 yr warranty instead of 3.

The nas performs flawlessly. It comes preloaded with plex server software. It has a built in plex app.

Lcd readout provides basic but useful info. Cpu is powerful enough that i migrated my plex server from my esxi host to the nas itself and it doesn't even flinch.

One thing that is very unusual is the upload speed from my local network. The 1gb ports are great. Got the 16 tb version and added more ram.

The iphone app is buggy. It says the site can't be found. After spending over an hour describing the leds statuses, rebooting, and doing all other kinds of suggested shot-in-the-dark kind of triaging, the issue still isn't resolved.

This is a toy which would be fine if it was priced as such but its not. Cost for the advance, $25+$5 shipping. If you want to bet on a loser in the market who will probably drop support for their products, this is a great choice.
