Pros

Storage unit is small, compact, and has 1 t of storage. I love how small and portable the storage is. The seagate is my #1 priority to saving files, but the wd took over as priority.

Cons

This really has me frustrated. Scary and frustrating. No one know why. Very sad. Please be informed.

Major problem now is it just plain disconnecting. Had to reboot to get it back. It lights up and sometimes spins, but the light is solid, doesn't blink.

This is the 3rd wd 5tb that has suddenly decided to quit working. Already failing after 5 months of use. I still have wd ext hd from 10 years, and they are still working, but not this latest one.

Yes, you'll pay a little bit more for western digital but you'll be happy that the drive works years later.
