Pros

Wd passport drive is great for all electronic storage. Works great with my ps4 and matches my pc mic. Supports both mac and ipad, so it is super simple to use.

Cons

The drive is unusable as a main back-up drive. After half filled, the transfer rate goes down to 1. This is slower than usb 1.

I'm experiencing the same issue as all the other the drive is inconsistent in mounting and doesn't even show up in partition. Pauses my computer on its bios, in which case it will not let me proceed the boot process until i unplug the dead drive. Two ... Read More

Good data hygiene like this requires dependable media, and this is not it. It is read only (cannot drop any data into it), until it is reformatted for mac. Tb is too much data to loose at once.
