Many reviews detract from this device when used as a plex server. The 480p preset is perfect for mobile devices such as tablets and phones. Filebot allows you to select all your videos and it will rename them with a plex friendly name.

Cons

Can't have the recharge cable connected while using wireless features. On top of that, the hard drive is super bulky. It is very difficult to connect wirelessly and almost impossible to connect to a mac that has the new usb c connectors.

Very frustrating to set up. It's infuriating.

The share requires the obsolete smb1 protocol, which is unsafe and could expose your system to attack. You can not access files wirelessly from anywhere, you have to be in the same location and on the same wireless network (it's own network) as the dr... Read More

The wifi file transfers are slow, but work well for the purpose i had for it (shared hd).
