Cons

This latest model is garbage. The process is super difficult and time consuming and i had to pay shipping for a defective product. Is this the 90s? What a nightmare….

For apple users, this isn't plug and play. Got crc error on the disk after a year or so. Can't set up password encryption.

Works as expected great work portable storage on the go

East to install software that it comes with is great for backing up your system plus other tools

After connecting it to a pc the drive does come with wd software installed but a quick reformat will empty it completely

I thought i got a bad one because it failed to back up my internal drive but it was an out of date software program that failed

Price

It was needed really fast and at a great price

It has lots of space and further price i would recommend

Ours had only been on for 6 hours so we got a basically brand new hard drive at 23ths of the price

Much more economical and does the job for me

Nice tiny and portable ssd just plug it in and its ready to use

The description says the drive may come with small imperfections missing manuals and original packaging

In the past they have been a good brand but you see more and more reviews of failed drive now than ever

Ive tried different brands of external drives and ive never had any trouble with the wd western digital products
