Pros
Wd my passports are great for use with a laptop. Uses usb to connect to a hub. Not light speed but perfectly good for a home movie, music and gaming library or backup. As of this review 5tb for $159.
Bought this, plugged it into xbox and works perfectly. Never had any issues with it. I like the security feature on it and keep it password protected.
Cons
Short lifespan of the hard drive is deeply concerning. The micro b connector has no use by such a big company other then a way to force planned obsolescence. Wasted two hours looking for a solution and eventually installed the drive.
Absolutly not. Terrible product. Definite buyer beware. Not this one.
If you have a lot of information you want to store securely, this is not it. Transfer speed normally is 100mb, but this will suddenly drop to 0-1mb and won't recover.
Returned as defective. Very reluctant to replace the product or assume responsibility. Never trust chat of amazon customer service.

I've used lots of different ones and they always break down but i've had wd ones that have lasted years without any problems.

I've used it a few times and it was good and fast transfer.
Transfer is fast and i like the fact that it is encrypted with a password.

Seems ok so far only thing didn’t like was that it indicates that it has a usbc plugin or an adapter but it does not

It seems odd that one must use thirdparty software acronis true image to conduct backups

Acronis thinks the app should run in the background and pin to the taskbar so the user must turn off those annoying features
