I tried to use a firewire 800 setup but it just was not fast enough

As others have noted this drive does not come a thunderbolt cable

This drive does not have any type of admin access from a web browser you instead have to use included software to monitor and configure the drive

One note when you change the disk setup it will erase everything including the utility software that was included
