Great product, very happy with this purchase.
Wasn't thrilled with the installed software so deleted it all and just went with windows backup.

Whenever i buy a new external hard drive i reformat it to erase the firmware

I believe i read somewhere that if the firmware crashes the your files go along with it so it has to be updated blah blah blah haha
