What this grill does is go from cold to flaming hot in about 6-15 minutes for me, using the smokefire competition blend pellets.
However, it is no worse than the competition.
The barrel is much thicker then some of the competitors grills.

That being said when i got my ex4 i updated all the software and did the burn in as per the recommendation on the weber site

The app is still a little buggy but improvements have been made and i am not too worried as this appears to be a software issues

The only negative i have is the app but knew that it was not going to be fully ready on the release date and we would be getting a basic version on the first ones shipped

I did have lots of ash flying around on the initial 600 burn but nothing even close to that since cooking normal

There are minor issues but those that are going bonkers over the grill and app are a little nuts

Weber plastered this everywhere that temp control would not be available at launch but would be at a later date
