Pros & Cons
Pros
Despite these shortcomings, the ranch kettle is a pleasure to use and produces spectacular results no other grill can match. My favorite is this absurd beast, which is for those who have fun learning and are not afraid to mess up. Worth every penny.
It does it all and does it better than any other grill i've ever used in my 55 some odd years of barbecuing. It really is * grilling, but for those that can look at a steak and tell medium from medium rare, by the juices, you will enjoy.
When off, the lid nestles nicely into a cradle formed by the stainless semicircle attached to the back of the unit. The lid has a turned up lip around it's circumference that will catch rainwater.
Cons
It won't have and cheap plastic wheels on it nor will it be built out of thin gauge sheet metal!
Highlights

During cooking, the system for holding the heavy lid on the side of the grill is very sturdy (though you have to use 2 hands wi... Read More
This huge grill has all the upside of weber quality.

The first time i fired the grill up with about 40 lbs of charcoal, i had the lid closed to build up heat.
Price
It was truly worth the hefty price of admission.
Costas i indicated, this thing costs as much a five brinkmanns.
This will cost money for "fuel" as it is very big.
I just wish the price of these would come down.
Shipping
Anyways, shipping was fast, assembly was easy, and if you like cooking on a webber (and have a lot to cook) then it's awesome!
Came a day late with a few chips and dents, possibly from shipping but still pleased with the purchase.
I bought it for a large event and it delivered!
Packaging/appearance
The grill arrived missing one of the front wheels and with a dent on the lid.
Competitiveness
This one is so ridiculously big that they are not even sold in bbq stores.
I recently purchased the weber ranch kettle after several years of using brinkmann charcoal grills.
