The screws which hold on the flanges at the left end were so corroded that they wouldnt budge no matter what i tried though seafoam worked well to get most of the gunk off

I ended up using a dremel to cut off the flanges pried out the remaining small pieces of metal then finished the prep by cleaning out underneath the washers will a thin file

I had one issue in that the one old screw was so rusted the head disintegrated and i was unable to remove it
