Fits perfectly. It's a shame you have to purchase it as an option. Can't go wrong and there are few to no other choices.

It was supposed to be a hinged grill and 18 inches. It too easily falls inside the legs of my large bge's plate setter.

As for the quality of this grate it is nickel plated and should last a long time as long as you take the time to clean it after every cook.

Really, these should be included with the 18 kettle grill for the price weber charges.

Wish the hinged doors were a little bigger and the price a bit lower.

The hinges at either end allow for this without having to lift the cooking grate and your meat out of the kettle.

This causes the grill to get caught on the four supports on the kettle.

And when you are doing this buy a weber charcoal starter tower - about $15 or so also well worth the cost.

Nice to add to fire witout lifting the entire grill out.
