As soon as you open the cover on the gas grill the wood chunks usually burst into flame

In fact when i installed it on the right hand side no matter how careful i was the lid would not close all the way

I ordered the wrong model first but amazon quickly allowed me to return the incorrect model for credit and reorder the correct model

This device will create a smoky environment with your weber grill it cannot turn your grill into a smoke for the simple reason that the flame from the burn has to be turned up to a point that it reaches the underside of the chip hopper that it makes the indirect heat tempiture higher then desired
