Pros & Cons
Pros
Great alternative to buying a stand-alone rotisserie grill. Made in palatine, illinois. Uses propane and natural gas.
Spit has 4 prongs on each side perfect for holding odd shaped meat. Very tasty and moist chicken. The rod is long enough to roast 2 chickens at one time.
Bought it as a bday present for my husband. Works very well. Works well and cleans up well when soaked in hot soapy water.
The rotisserie is well constructed with heavy duty parts. Expedient delivery, easy to assemble and worked flawlessly. Very sturdy and works perfectly.
Cons
The base bar is square and the slide on skewer has a round bore. The motor mounting bracket is very flimsy. The bbq holders are way too low, allowing the need to remove the grates to accommodate an average chicken.
Looks good on paper but in practicality it just *. This makes the whole setup a lot weaker. This new one is just lousy engineering.

Quality
Good quality product that installs easily and works as described.
Works great and i use it almost weekly.
Should be good being its weber product.
I don't think this is as much a problem with the rotisserie as the grill design.

The fact that flavorizer bars and cooking grates need to be removed while using it
If you use a chicken larger than 4lbs, it will bump into the grates.

Update the customer support and engineering folks at weber worked with me to trouble shoot and redesign the bracket

The spit will not go into the motor if the motor is properly seated on the bracket

The new grills have the mount on the right not the left so the cord exits to the front of the grill not the rear

I could live with 2 and 3 but having to raise the motor box so the weight is being carried by the motor and not the bracket means it will wear out the motor

Could be fixed with two extra holes for mounting the bracket higher but that may mean also cutting the top of that side of the bracket

The customer should not have to be a metalsmith to get this to work properly

I am so disappointed with weber for this terrible laziness and lack of care
