The igrill requires an app that isn't compatible with any of my android devices and my devices are not even a year old. The bluetooth connection is also super flaky. Item is not weatherproof.

When cooking other meats i usually just stab in a probe check the temp and remove it

The probe will be hot when you take it out of the bbq even the silicone cover on the probe

Much better to be a weatherproof and permanent part of the grill in my opinion

However the hardware was designed for webber grills and isn’t adaptable to other grill brands

The monitor and battery pack would be more useful if a magnet could be mounted on their backs to attach to other brands
