The cradle boosters do get warm and the antenna connector does get hot to the touch. Does as advertised, however i have to have the inside antenna for the vehicle physically touching a device for it to be detected.
Since installing this (took ten minutes), no more drops. Not a miracle solution but boosted 3 to 5 bars. I would recommend this product to anyone who has lost their phone.
Cons
The cradle that holds the cell phone is an extremely poor design. There is absolutely no give in the arms that hold the phone so the phone either flops around or is too tight. The unit was received in sealed package.

Understanding that in southeast ohio you cant always get cell phone coverage everywhere but im getting two to three bars where i was getting none before

No you will not create signal out of nothing

This will increase existing signal strength and often make unusable but present signals into a steady stream of voice andor data

With all of these caveats you should note that you will absolutely be able to get usable cell data in places you normally would not
