The 12v plug does have a switch on it that i found works well to just switch it off in areas with strong signal and then turn it on when the signal gets weak

However it does work and i had fully functional 4g signal voice and data on both verizon and att in an area where on a previous trip had no signal from either network

So im very optimistic that it will do the job i intend it forbut my review is because there wasnt a lot of info on the bundle
