One of the lids fails to snap closed securely. It takes heroic efforts to open the lid.
Put the 3x version in your cart and wait for a sale price. This version is a ripoff at any rate. Thanks for wasting everyone's time.
Read the 2019 review from dylan of the united kingdom. Had to return. It still works but it is no longer connected.

I had bought one years and years ago at a drugstore that just had flip top lids
