Pros

Needed this for electric guitar repair (pickup replacment) i'm very satisfied with this purchase. Not as convenient as modern cordless models, but way, way cheaper.

This one is a little nicer than any of the cheap plastic ones you find for $20 in your local hardware store and the lights are helpful. Its really lightweight and the led lights are a great addition. All were related to led lighting.

Cons

The tips for this iron only have nickel over copper plating which erodes extremely quickly (after about 20-30 minutes of use) when used with lead free solder. The short lifespan of the tips lowers the score to two stars. Think twice before you order, ... Read More

I really like this soldering iron it is better built then my old one, it heats up great

Good soldering iron, feels substantial and comfortable.

Test before making the connections permanent, if the led's do not work on low heat, reverse the diode.

No temperature control or fancy holder - just a generic soldering iron.
