Barely absorbs any fumes that aren't literally right next to it. Not any stronger than the cheaper ones.

We’ll built and made from quality materials.
Very smooth to the touch and feels very sturdy.
I bough the fume extractor in february (now october) and used it a lot until today when the thing stopped working.
There's nothing loose, nothing that looks like it will break or fall apart.
Price
This is a great little unit for the money!
I don't feel i got anywhere near 60 dollars out of this.
Obviously not but then again, this guy doesn't cost 500+ dollars.
I'd say in the grand scheme of things, it's probably a 4/5 score - but i'm rounding up to 5 due to being a good value for the money imo.

3 filters are included in the package, too.
Competitiveness
I'm glad i didn't purchase any of the less expensive competitors.
The specs for the fans seem to differ -- with one brand claiming a 30 watt fan, another a 14 w fan, and this weller being a 20 w fan.

Bought 2 and amazon price was less than rio grande jewelers website one for garage when soldering and one for inside the house when i use the wood burner or glueing

You do need to have it fairly close to what youre soldering for it to suck up all the fumes it wont work as well from several feet away it also helps to point the fan inlet directly at what youre working on
