Pros & Cons
Pros
Thread is a wireless mesh network protocol for smart home accessories. The eero plus router is also a thread hub, and nanoleaf essential led bulbs (which i use) are thread devices. If your homekit environment is operating with a homepod mini or the la... Read More
They're reliably responsive, even after going unused for weeks at a time when i'm traveling. It is a good, solid upgrade and now a product i am comfortable recommending. The only complaint is that i wish these were cheaper, but.
Wemo scene controller is a most welcome new entry in a sadly underrepresented homekit category. The only thing it may be missing is matter support, but since my home is all apple devices, i wouldn't want matter at the cost of any of the existing featu... Read More
This is a great device for always-on bulbs in non-switchable outlets. It can be mounted on the wall, placed atop an existing j-box in a decora plate. You can also use it to control three different bulbs in a room that are plugged into always- on socke... Read More
Cons
How this made it past testing and released to the public is very perplexing. For the cost of these wemo stage remotes, it's terrible how unreliable they are. The lutron pico remotes are 100x better than these.

Easy to set up and dependable once the battery is installed.

My non-nitpick complaint is that the battery doesn't last nearly as long as i was hoping: less than four months since being turned on.
Price
Nine separate functions in one device for this price is a great value.
My only complaint is that they raised the price.
Shipping
I haven’t had a problem with battery life except that one shipped with a dud battery.
Packaging/appearance
Out of the box the setup was very straightforward and easy to add to my existing homekit setup.
Competitiveness
There is literally no other comparable device to this on the market right now (that i can find on amazon).
In fact, wemo doesn’t even offer an app that can interact with this device, which is how i think most homekit products should be.
This is no more/less difficult or cumbersome to up than any other homekit device in my opinion.
Another similar area of polish is that firmware updates are delivered automatically within the apple home app.

Not sure if it was the homepod updates but since installing these a year ago i’ve slowly experienced less and less connectivity issues

Not sure how much actually using the button decreases battery life but it gets pressed twice a day most days but wasnt in use for much of that time so including testing and demonstration the battery only lasted through about 150 actual presses which if its actually pressing it that runs it down is disappointingly short for something you use every day
