I am extremely happy with the value of this product, and i'd recommend it to anyone looking for a good notebook drive.
Used this drive for a laptop upgrade in conjunction with the apricorn ez-up-universal ez upgrade universal hard drive upgrade kit.
Up and running with the system finding 214gb of drive now available.
I was so upset with the whole process, since it's just a dell type of thing.
Price
The cost was right, and i had my local repair shop do the install, since i had no installation instructions from the laptop supplier.
The price is right and it has ~230 gb of space who could ask for more
Shipping
Your shipping has become erratic and unreliable!
Also, amazon's shipping of this drive was incredibly fast.
Competitiveness
I installed one of these drives on my toughbook y2, a buisiness rugged 4-pound notebook.
This drive is quieter and has better i/o capabilities than the 100gb 7200rpm pata seagate momentus that it replaced.
Many people will warn you that it is impossible to install a 250gb hdd on a dell 700m laptop.

My original drive failed after 3

It was a frustrating process since dell has 3 partitions in the original drive

After using acronis true image to clone the old hard drive swapped the newly cloned 250 hard drive in the dell 700m and tried to boot it up and i got an error message reading loading pbr for descriptor 2

I also reset the bios disabled the usb drive before reboot and it didnt seem to help

My last resolve was to reboot the computer again and hit f8 for safe boot to see if the whole thing would even go to the safe mode
