Quality

Applied thermal pads to the boom (x1) and to the top (x2) of the card, so the top makes contact w/ aluminum chassis.

On my home nas, which gets fairly heavy use, a pair of these gave me a nice r/w speed enhancement via ssd cache.

Thank you western digital for offering the higher quality products.

Everything returned to normal operation regarding the nas and cache so far.

Price

Not the most expensive option, but it offers the highest tbw rating of any 4tb drives but a huge margin.

Shipping

Was pretty slow to ship out - took a couple of weeks to arrive, but it works as expected.

I bought two of the western digital 2tb wd red sn700 nvme ssds on november 19, 2023 (delivered december 18, 2023.

Competitiveness

They are on the qnap compatibility list and rated for nas use.

You can get something much faster and bigger for the same price as one of these.
