Storage Capacity
Customers are generally positive about the large storage capacity of the Western Digital WD Red Pro NAS Internal Hard Drive, but some have reported issues with drive quality and reliability resulting in a significant number of failures.
Compatibility
Customers have mixed experiences regarding the compatibility of this Western Digital Red Pro NAS Internal Hard Drive with certain systems, particularly Synology NAS. While some report no issues, others have encountered problems with recognition and initialization.

Highlights
Quality
The drive is very quiet and responsive and i really like the storage capacity.
Ran macrorit disk scanner and had no bad sectors.
I like the five-year warranty on the red pro drives, so i’ve been buying lots of them for the past decade or so.
I believe these are not helium filled, so they should last longer than the higher-capacity drives that are.
Price
There has been some odd price fluctuation with these, with them starting out below $300 each, and rising sharply through the year.
Shipping
Unfortunate but i blame delivery not the manufacturing.
Competitiveness
The cmr drives perform better than the (deceptively mislabeled) smr drives they replaced.
I found this was the same price as the 8 tb version.

Normally it products decline in price over time so i can only assume that this was caused by high demand
