The presence of 3v at pin 3 of the sata connector will inhibit the drive, allowing the server/san to reset the drive remotely.

On our 20 units, two have been 'bad', quickly refunded and we're replaced 2-out-of-20 for an other first months' mass file-copies as 90%.
