The first bracket installs flush with the ceiling the 2nd one is then screwed to it and lastly the fixture bracket is attached to the 2nd one

Nothing complicated just awkward working overhead

My biggest beef with the kit is the 2nd bracket is about 14” lower than the ceiling which ultimately prevents the westinghouse trim plate from being flush with the ceiling by that same distance

The only way to get the trim plate flush would be to notch out the drywall for the tabs on the first bracket before screwing it to the roughin can
