This review is from westinghouse 0501800x36 43 watt sl19 ecohalogen cut glass e26 medium base 120 volt 6packi use 18 of the westinghouse ecohalogen cut glass light bulbs in my condo they looked great and are just beautiful bulbs but the darn things were popping like peanuts at such a rate that i wondered if they were worth it

Further inspection led me to believe that the bulb has a built in fuse that was failing rather than the filament

I also observed that my dining room chandelier which has five of the bulbs in it did not have the problem of the bulbs blowing

Note a cold filament in a incandescent bulb has a low electrical resistance thus a high current for the first few milliseconds after turnon

The only one i found was an x10 that wasn’t very user friendly

If you buy the dimmer switch at the store the directions that come with it aren’t very good
