It was an easy fix so i did it to avoid the hassle of returning it

Only down side is the shaft is very thin and tend to bend and loosen on the spike base while pushing in the ground

When this happens simply take it off the base and pinch there bottom of the shaft nearly closed and then push back on spike base

They are well constructed and dont look at all cheap despite being roughly half what youd pay for comparable led lights at lowes or home depot
